Simply Changing Management Team

As you would imagine I am a Simply Changing graduate and so I know from my own experience what it is like to be on the programme.  I am also part of the Coaching with Horses team, deliver some of the Fast Track Coaching Programmes and am a member of the Supervision Team.

My background is in teaching Business Studies and Marketing in FE and HE, and more recently working one to one with students with learning difficulties. As a result of this experience and my interest in NLP I have trained in NLP and Dyslexia which allows me to use techniques developed to overcome the debilitating symptoms of Dyslexia, Autism, Aspergers and ADHD.

I'm an NLP Master Practitioner and an Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Advanced Practitioner and Trainer. These are both amazing tools that I use when coaching people. I have my own coaching business www.littlewingcoaching.co.uk and work with another Simply Changing Graduate as The Crafty Coaches, delivering workshops on personal and business development. Our aim is to be creative and put a bit of fun back into the lives of busy adults.

So what has lead me to now being part of the management team of Simply Changing? The starting point was my lifelong love of horses and the frustration of feeling blocked from making progress in the various training programmes I have undertaken, from BHS to Natural Horsemanship. I have always wanted to be the best owner I could be for my two horses, Jazz and Jack, having a very strong respect for these beautiful animals. Eventually I turned to NLP for help and soon discovered that many of the lessons I had spent money on used my least preferred representational system for learning.

NLP helped me to understand my preferred learning style, unblocked my limiting beliefs and helped me to make progress with my horses. Jazz and Jack are now used in the Coaching with Horses Programme and they, like me, thoroughly enjoy being part of the Coaching with Horses team and meeting new people!

The NLP Practitioner course I chose also covered a short element of coaching and I absolutely loved it! I was delighted that shortly after I completed the NLP course that my horsey connections lead me to Louise, who was launching her first coaching diploma and I knew that I had to do it! I enrolled, met some absolutely amazing people on the course, and transformed my life in the process.

I have been part of the Supervision Team for several years now and that is a privilege to support other people on their learning journey.

On a personal note, I am married to Clive, who some people have seen in the background of webinars bringing me cups of tea, and has been referred to as ‘the Butler’!  We live on a smallholding in Derbyshire and as well as the horses we have two dogs, an ancient cat and two adorable chickens.  We love nature, have always aspired to live self-sufficiently, grow our own vegetables, spin our own wool and retire at the age of 30!  We’ve well overshot some of these goals!

We love travelling and travelled around Europe when we first met, discovering how travellers would develop an instant camaraderie and share their last bit of food with you, moving on to live in Australia for 3 years, travelling around all of the states then spending the rest of our time living in Alice Springs, in the dessert right in the centre of Australia.

I could go on, but that should give you an idea about the reasons I love working for Simply Changing and with Louise and the other amazing people involved.
