Caitlin Naughton

Hi from Caitlin!

Caitlin works alongside Mary in organising the ‘SimplyChanging’ workshops and events in the North of England. You may have spoken with Caitlin if you have made a booking to enrol on one of the weekly activities. Caitlin is very interested in how we all perceive our own identities and how this can help us to achieve our full potential in life. When her daughter was 7 Caitlin embarked on a full time English degree, and consequently trained to be a teacher.

She has worked with challenging pupils who find it difficult to achieve in mainstream school. This experience highlighted to Caitlin the power of the mind and the power of psychology. She has worked in the toughest inner city schools and brings a wealth of experience to SimplyChanging. With first hand experience, she knows that young people respond well to positive attention and supportive structures and that everybody likes to be recognised for being valuable and significant.

Caitlin says: “we should all have aims and goals because without these how can we expect to achieve anything - we all have areas of our life that need attention.”

Caitlin has a lifelong interest in holistic therapies. She has worked for fourteen years in the field of natural health and has a wealth of knowledge of herbal therapies. She believes firmly that ‘we are what we eat’ and recognises the importance of supplementing our everyday diet. "My aim is to eat healthily most of the time," says Caitlin who loves low GI food and incorporates a lot of tofu in her diet,  “ Does anyone need to be reminded why Japanese women don’t suffer from symptoms of the menopause?” If you don’t know the answer to this question – you can chat with Caitlin when you book your workshop or day event or when you see her at one of the events in the North.
