When you meet Andy, you find a friendly person oozing tons of talent. He loves his art and spends ALL of his time photographing, whether that is on his corporate contracts, his own special projects or teaching. Andy has a talent for recognizing talent too. He gives his students fabulous opportunities to grow and develop creatively. Why have we chosen him as our Portrait Photographer? Well, because he has knows how to capture the essence of who people really are. We have tons of fun with him too and he takes the time it takes. Andrew runs his own studio in Manchester and has photographed people in the public eye, celebrities, Film and TV personalities like Helena Bonham Carter. He is commissioned for projects such as Elizabeth Emanuel Website and the Auction of her Wedding Dresses (not including Princess Diana’s). Andy says he is “a firm believer that great photography comes from the heart. I really believe that it is obvious when a photograph has been made for commercial reasons and the whole point of my personal work is to even the aesthetic scales. I prefer darkness to light as I find it more intriguing thinking of what I can’t see, or can barely see, than what is obvious and in my face – The current digital camera technology is a great boon to this type of light/dark exploration.” When you come onto Simply Changing’s, face to face, Diploma in Performance Coaching you will meet Andy in Module 3 where all our developing Coaches get the great opportunity to personally experience his portrait photography.
